VORZA

Built on the mat, for the people who run it.

The story

I've been in jiu-jitsu for more than 25 years and have opened and run my own academies. Every gym timer I tried did the job and nothing more. It counted, it beeped, and it put its own logo on the biggest screen in my academy.

My members spent every class looking at someone else's brand. My coaches crossed the mat to restart rounds. Between classes, the TV that could have been promoting our kids' program just sat there dark. For a business built on community and identity, that screen was a missed opportunity every single day.

So I built the timer I wanted. VORZA puts the gym's brand on the screen and gets out of the way. It runs every class at Revel Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and every feature in it was tested there first, on real classes, with real members.

About the founder

Jason Scully is a 4th-degree BJJ black belt and the owner of Revel Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai. He founded Grapplers Guide in 2007, pioneered the "X techniques in Y minutes" instructional format, and runs The Guide Sites, a family of martial arts education platforms. He also organizes the Grappler's Challenge tournaments.

What we believe

  • The gym owns the screen. VORZA's brand stays on the controls, never on your wall.
  • Simple beats clever. If a coach can't use it mid-class, it doesn't ship.
  • Readable from the back wall. Every design choice starts with the member farthest from the TV.
  • Your data is yours. Your setup lives on your devices and in your own iCloud.

Built for my gym. Ready for yours.
