Getting started
Do I need an Apple TV?
No. VORZA runs full screen on an iPad or iPhone, and you can AirPlay or cable it to any TV. An Apple TV gives the best result on a wall TV.
Which devices does it run on?
Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes: install, scan the code on the TV, add your logo.
Do I need to create an account?
No. VORZA uses your Apple ID and iCloud. There's no separate login.
Does it need the internet?
The timer doesn't. Phones control the TV over your gym's Wi-Fi (the same network, not a guest network). iCloud syncs your setup when you're online.
Running class
Can my coaches run it from their phones?
Yes. Scan the code on the TV with any phone and a remote opens in the browser, with no app to install.
Can I change a time mid-class without changing the saved class?
Yes. Swipe a time on the TV, or tap it on your phone. The saved class stays the same.
Can I run two mats on one TV?
Yes. Two timers splits the screen in half, each side with its own name, color, program, bell and voice, and each coach runs their side from their phone.
Can I build whole classes, not just rounds?
Yes. Build a class from parts (warm-up, technique, rounds, sparring) and the TV shows the plan beside the timer. You can also paste a plan or snap a whiteboard.
Can classes load by themselves?
Yes. Put classes on the schedule and each loads a few minutes before it starts. You just press Play.
Branding and slides
What can I customize?
Your logo, a wide logo, brand colors, number color, 11 fonts, a background photo, rotating photos, the layout, the timer style, sounds and voice.
Can I make slides in Canva?
Yes. Design at 1920 × 1080 (Canva's Presentation 16:9), tap Share, and pick VORZA.
Will my brand make the numbers hard to read?
No. Photos are darkened, and only color combinations that stay readable are offered.
Sound and music
Will members hear the bell over music?
Yes. Choose boxing bells, air horns, buzzers or whistles, and on iPhone and iPad your music dips for the bell.
Does VORZA play music?
No, keep your playlist in Spotify or Apple Music. VORZA works alongside it.
Can I use my own sounds?
Yes. Upload a sound file or record one, up to 8 seconds.
More than one TV
I have more than one TV. Does that work?
Yes. Each TV runs its own timer, so Mat 1 and the lobby never interfere. Name each TV and give it its own look.
I have two locations on one Apple ID. Turn off "Share with my other devices" on the second location's devices and each keeps its own programs and brand.
Account, pricing and data
What's free and what's Pro?
The timer is free. Pro adds your brand, layouts, classes, slides, scoreboards and the phone remote, for $14.99 a month or $129.99 a year. See Pricing.
How does the free trial work?
Monthly and Yearly both start with 2 weeks free (one trial per gym). Cancel before it ends in your Apple account settings and you won't be charged.
Does one subscription cover all my devices?
Yes, on the same Apple ID.
What if my Apple TV breaks?
Your programs, brand and photos are backed up to your iCloud. Install VORZA on the new one and they come back.
Can members change the settings?
Not with a settings lock. Set a 4-digit code and only staff can make changes.
Where is my data kept?
On your devices and in your own iCloud account. VORZA has no ads and no tracking.
Can I use it at home?
Absolutely. Use it on your iPad or cast it to your TV for your own training.
